How dangerous is Prague?

Although there are not many of them around Prague, you can come across them on public transport or in the subway. Therefore, watch your stuff and backpacks carefully.
To avoid problems, exchange money at an exchange office or a bank. Never change money on the street as it is very likely to be a scam. In recent years groups of scammers have spread in Prague, offering tourists a favorable money exchange. Is it safe to get a taxi in Prague?
In general, they are safe and reliable, but some taxi drivers may take advantage of the fact that you are a tourist and do not know the city. They can deliberately drive a longer route or charge you a higher price. We therefore recommend using the Uber, Bolt, or Czech Liftago apps, where you can see the price and route in advance.
Is it safe to travel to Prague due to the Ukraine war?
The answer is yes. The Czech Republic is not directly adjacent to Ukraine, and therefore you will not see any effects of the war here. The only thing you will meet on the streets will probably be a larger number of Ukrainians who fled to Prague and other Czech cities before the war.
How to stay safe in Prague
Keep in mind that no city is 100% safe, so always keep an eye on your stuff and be aware of your surroundings.
Buy travel insurance to help you in an emergency and save you hundreds or thousands of dollars. If you come from one of the countries of the European Union or the United Kingdom you can get free emergency treatment in Czechia by showing your European Health Insurance Card (EHIC) or Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC).
